Black Boys WILL Get Love MBK Podcast Training Program

The Black Boys WILL Get Love Podcast Training Program is an opportunity for boys of color, grades 9-12, to participate in an industry-standard video podcasting workshop. Our team of media industry professionals will teach students the fundamentals of storytelling, marketing, production, and post-production for video podcasting.

As part of producing the video podcast, boys of color will take various roles in the production in order to produce a compelling podcast that highlights relevant issues around Black boyhood, such as self-esteem, manhood, and representation in media.

At the end of the program, students in the Podcast Training Program will have the opportunity to present their work at their Podcast Release Party, which will include the opportunity to screen clips from the podcast & participate in a talk-back with the audience on their learning experience in the program.

The purpose of the Black Boys WILL Get Love Podcast Training Program is to empower boys of color to tell their own stories and provide them with the skills they need to be successful storytellers by teaching and critiquing them at a Hollywood-standard level, right here in Upstate New York.
